Michelle Williams looks more like Mia Farrow than Monroe at My Week With Marilyn screening
She stars as Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe in her critically acclaimed new film, My Week with Marilyn.
But Michelle Williams looked more like Mia Farrow than the mermaid of the late 1950s as she arrived at a special screening of a new movie last night.
The 31-year-old went for a dainty and delicate look, sporting a pretty patterned white dress and black open-toed heels at a New York movie theater.

The below-the-knee dress was particularly understated and the star wore very little makeup.
She is currently busy promoting the new movie and last week hit the red carpet in Los Angeles..
My Week with Marilyn documents the tense interaction between legendary actor Sir Laurence Olivier and Marilyn Monroe during the production of the 1957 film The Prince and the Showgirl.
Olivier was said to be so annoyed by Monroe’s diva behavior on set that he practically gave up directing for the screen, only returning in 1970 to do Three Sisters.
She was joined on the mat by film director Simon Curtis and Kenneth Brannagh, who plays Laurence Olivier in the film.
British actress Zoe Wannamaker, who plays Monroe’s interim coach Paula Strasberg in the film, was also present, as was Dominic Cooper who plays photographer Milton Greene.
Michelle has revealed that she will spend three hours transforming into Monroe during the filming of the biopic which will be released on November 25.

“You would think that playing Marilyn Monroe, you would be in full-fledged goddess mode,” she recently told Newsweek.
“When I washed my face and took off my makeup at the end of the day, there was a sort of horrible Frankenstein staring at me.”
The elf star also had to gain weight to embody Marilyn’s curves and bleach her hair blonde every few days to avoid showing any roots.
