Local Business Donates $25,000 to Hillsborough County Schools

TAMPA, FL – Tampa-based Old Republic National Title Holding Company donated $25,000 to Hillsborough County Public Schools on Wednesday, September 14. The fund will be used to help support the arts with an additional goal of supporting student mental health. The connection between the entities was made through the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce.

“We deeply appreciate community partners like Old Republic Title who provide generous donations to enhance students’ educational experiences. Music and the arts are an essential part of a well-rounded education and can even improve mental health and academic performance. “

“This donation opens new doors for students at Chiaramonte and Pierce Middle Elementary Schools to broaden their horizons by engaging in musical activities that will enhance their lives inside and outside the classroom,” said Hillsborough County Superintendent Addison Davis.

“On behalf of Old Republic Title, I am very pleased to present a $25,000 donation check to Hillsborough County Public Schools, which will help purchase musical instruments at two local schools in Tampa. We believe in supporting early childhood education and providing creative outlets for children to express themselves,” said Carolyn Monroe, President, Old Republic National Title Holding Company.

“Our students are the most important community resource we have, they are our future workforce, our leaders, our artists and our teachers. The South Tampa Chamber is proud to have helped bridge the gap between local business Old Republic Title and Hillsborough County Public Schools and we look forward to seeing this partnership grow. It is through the generosity of leaders like Old Republic Title that we are able to help our students reach their full potential,” said Kelly Flannery, President and CEO of South Tampa Chamber.

The South Tampa Chamber of Commerce is an association of over 600 businesses and community members. The chamber’s mission is “to provide a forum that connects members, enhances commerce, and enriches the South Tampa community.”
